there is a second cctv based repeater ssystem on here - operates on a different ctcss - seems quite new - might be around wood st in cardiff ?

anyone able to confirm this

However it may be little out of date but some were correct when I last visited the city. My copy of the UK scanning directory states 453.175 is for cardiff docks security but I seem to remember my close call finding a frequency for storenet in the Crwys Road area possibly 453.175. I lost the sheet I wrote it on.

Hi Alannah

Most of the old city centre ones, including st davids 1 & 2 are now on a private TETRA system using Sepura handhelds
I assume the base gear is either moto "Tetra in a box" or Rohill, but didnt read the full guff in land mobile.
queens arcade are still on analogue. as is this mystery channel that makes reference to the TETRA system occasionally

given that these all went TETRA I was surprised to find this channel , it seems to be in use most days for short periods
particularly when cameras go wrong

I'll slap your list into a spare group and do a 48hr surveillance in bctool, and report back which ones are still in use

PS - for those that ask the inevitable questions as soon as TETRA gets mentioned:

no this isnt on the Airwave TETRA system, as far as I know, its a private one
no I've not found, nor indeed have I bothered looking for the frequency of it,
whilst I presume it will not be TEA2 encrypted , there is still no sub 5 grand (second hand) kit that could demodulate it

now running DMR/mototrbo it would seem , unencrypted, bits inverted

453.7000 was more the West side of Cowbridge road I seem to remember heading up towards Ninian Park.

usually the "lodge" is the security office and the only "Range" store I knew of in cardiff was Newport rd

its going to take a few days to crunch all the "day1" results manually

across those frequencies there are 17 distinct users active in range

with a days total of around 1000 hits

back in a day or 4

Yes the wireless telegraphy register gives the Celtic Manor on 453.700 along with a couple of other hits - a few Storenet Security Systems and Henderson UK Outlet Mall No 1 but that is in Bridgend.
