Selling The Frog?

Post by NoiseBoy »

Hi all.

havent been posting much recently because ive been away but now im back and the FRG is up and running. To cut a long story short im disappointed with my naff long wire antenna. the first week i had the frog was fantastic and heard loads of international contacts but i just cant seem to hear anything now theres just too much noise around and i dont have the space or money for a better antenna. So, i think i might sell the FRG and get a scanner instead that i can use at airshows etc.

So how much could i ask for an FRG8800. immaculate condition, works perfectly. in original box with manual and fitted with the optional VHF card.

also the FRT7700 tuner with manual. also works perfectly.

Can't answer your question but check ebay and see what they're going for there, you can run a search on items that have allready ended as well

Last one i saw on ebay went for £200 for the receiver only. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0059934378
I am sorry that you have not had a lot of luck with your longwire and not knowing how much room you have or your environment i wonder if you have considered a simple loop aerial such has this one?
