Just seen on of these on eBay.
The bid description claims: "You can monitor any Apco 25 Phase 1 C4FM and CQPSK system including Motorola using 3600 and 9600 bps channels
I imagine the purchase of this scanner to be a pointless endeavour to use in the UK, as our digital formats are TETRA or Airwaves. Not forgetting the use of (variants of) Voice Inversion.
Clearly the scanner is for USA use only, looks pretty but I would think twice seeing how expensive it is.
What do you think guys?

Alleged "Digital Scanner"...
Speaking to people in foreign lands, with various configurations of copper wire in various strange shapes - my friends think I'm committing acts of witchcraft...

RE: Alleged "Digital Scanner"...
I don't think it will be a lot of use over here. Most of the services that the advert mentions are not in use in the UK so it would be rather an expensive purchase for nothing. Of course, it will still work as a normal scanner but it's a little wasted over this side of the world. If you like the look of the scanner a far better buy is the Uniden UBC-3500 XLT at ?149.99. Same casing but designed for the Euro market with facilities that we can make use of such as the CTCSS and DSC decoder and large 2500 channel memory bank and the important Close Call feature. You could buy a couple of these and still have some change left against the other scanner!
