hi where did you get this 120 channel board for the cobra? thank you163TM847 wrote: ↑14 Feb 2024, 17:55He doesn’t do FM boards as far as I know, I have PLL boards for a wide range of PLL, The MB8719 board I have does -40 +40, U.K. Band, -5 and +10electronicsmachine wrote: ↑10 Jan 2024, 18:42I'm also interested, I have a Cobra 148GTL, but does the described FM card work perfectly...?
They work with all mb8719 crystals with correct settings
15.480 (Mk1 148/30), 15.4825 (McKinley/Stalker), 15.4525 (Grant), 11.325, 11.1125
The 148GTL doesn’t always work on Low band, So 11.325 has to be swapped for an 11.1125

You can get same board from Maurerelectronicsmachine wrote: ↑29 Feb 2024, 15:54hi where did you get this 120 channel board for the cobra? thank you163TM847 wrote: ↑14 Feb 2024, 17:55He doesn’t do FM boards as far as I know, I have PLL boards for a wide range of PLL, The MB8719 board I have does -40 +40, U.K. Band, -5 and +10electronicsmachine wrote: ↑10 Jan 2024, 18:42 I'm also interested, I have a Cobra 148GTL, but does the described FM card work perfectly...?

But his board only does +5 for zeros, or atleast used too, I’m not sure if he’s changed that by now.
I don’t do mine as self install as you could run into trouble installing it and most people tend to blame the board rather than the way they did it, plus the pitch of the PLL can vary, so if I were to solder on the pin headers it may not be correct pitch
If you get one, Maurer rarely sends any install instructions, A resistor has to be removed (1k5 on pin one) and if low band doesn’t lock properly then the 11.325 has to be swapped for a 11.1125 and pin 10 tied low (soldered to ground) I have come across some 148GTL that won’t work at all with board fitted, if that happens a 10k resistor has to be changed for a 1k, I can’t give specific location of these resistors because I do it from memory and don’t have it written down
