ROS

I have been recently been getting back into transmitting, spent the last 20-30 years just listening.

About 2 weeks ago, I discovered ROS data mode and had a go using my new Icom 7300 and received my first E-QSL card on 11m.

Last 2 days, ROS has been completely dead, even on PSK reporter, completely nothing although RS8 is still busy.

Any reason for this as ROS was very active but now dead?

that's the way it is sometimes, sim31 was dead then people suddenly started using it last week.

RoS was busy ladt year and the year befor... its a low prop low power mode and ad voice DX was low the data modes usually do better...
now of course the reverse is true..
RoS has gone down with usurse but still a good few on and distances are good....
SSTV is booming with lots of joiners on the FB sites
Js8call is busy too on 245
i,m running Vara chat on a alpha channel...
about 6 users in Europe..
bit more complicated to set up but nice features...
this weekend keep an ear on 27.500 for c. w. and psk31 testing..
possible some SiM31... maybe..
