Could not live with it myself, so changed them out for white LEDs. A bit fiddly , as you have to remove the meter to get to the board.(and the modulation light and cable is a pain to refit) 2x 2.5volt mini LEDs (3mm). Put some white PVC tape behind them to even out the light. If you can't get diffused LEDs just rub clear ones down with some sandpaper.
