Keep it up Sean ,hope you get many moreCrusader wrote: ↑08 Apr 2019, 01:58stanogs68 wrote: ↑06 Apr 2019, 21:55were the hell do you find boxed great radios for daft money Shaun ,i waited ages for a mint one ,not boxed and paid £50Crusader wrote: ↑06 Apr 2019, 11:47 Well the boxed Harrier CBX that i paid £20 including p&p arrived this morning....
All working perfect as it should & in near new condition, everything there in the box but missing its original mounting bracket as i suspected it would be,why people leave these in cars etc when they remove the radio is beyond me .
So if anybody has one for sale let me know, cheers,Shaun
Hi pal , i mainly keep my eyes peeled on Ebay, but as most of us know the CB Collectors / Dealers ask daft money on there now just as they do on the Facebook Groups.
I don't waste my time (or money) on auction format sales on Ebay anymore as it either results in either shill bidding or numpties bidding stupid amounts against you,i am just opportunistic & wait for house clearance companies etc to list them at realistic BIN prices as CB ain't worth spending a fortune on these days (IMO).
Don't get me wrong i aint tight fisted but just refuse to pay greedy internet seller / lunatic prices & bide my time until the radio i want comes along at the right price
Best regards,Shaun
love your familly

Just bought 3 CB magazines to have a flick through.
Is it just me, or does anyone else sniff old magazines (and radio cicuit boards) as it seems to bring back memories?
No???...I'll book an appointment with the doctor then

Well the radio's volume switch doesn't switch the radio off and the front surround is loose and possibly has screws missing inside. Made a Youbloob account and put some vid's on for the seller to look at.The Collector wrote: ↑07 Apr 2019, 19:59 Well I've blown my £25 monthly CB stash three times over, by buying a snazzy boxed as-new modern fandangled Cobra 29LX EU thingy. I'm not a fan of modern stuff, but always liked the look of these. I just had to ensure I bought a fully working one as I've heard they suffer from bad processors or some other serious fault.
Most of what I've bought on Eblag lately has been faulty in one way or another.

I'm guessing none of these issues were pointed out in the item description? The Collector wrote: ↑13 Apr 2019, 19:24Well the radio's volume switch doesn't switch the radio off and the front surround is loose and possibly has screws missing inside. Nope, seller's saying it all worked okay recently.
He may not have known about the front panel being loose, but said he bought it new so it's a bit strange. I wondered if someone had had it apart to look at the switch issue, but again, he reckons it was working and was new.
Hopefully it might just be a wire's come off whilst in transit or something, but otherwise it'll need a new pot (might be interesting getting hold of one?). I won't open it to check in case it goes back. It decreases/increases the volume as it should, but just doesn't turn the radio off when it clicks.
He's out tonight but will look at the vid's tomorrow and get back to me.

Won a boxed Realistic 40ch AM TRC-207 handheld , a very tidy 40ch Realistic UKFM TRC-1007 handheld and a boxed 80ch Handmaster AM? Double-40 handheld on an auction. All 3 for £20.
I only want the aerial off the 207 so the rest will probably be readvertised separately.
