will do, hate when they crank that right up, well spotted, whats that board do ya think, uk 40?
The add on board is most likely the UK40 and maybe another band or two. DX on 26Mhz was still popular back in 1998 when the prom was fitted. There'll most likely be a 10Khz shift on one of the switches too.
I noticed it's a very early MK2 with the AA PCB, so far more uncommon than the later AB variant.
ah interesting i’ll keep ya posted if it works or not, may have to go for a tune up
was gonna ask what the difference in the AA/AB boards are but found this

He hasn't told me the price for the full kit yet . He's going to get back to me tomorrow
Price is €65 , without the red plastic over . A bit more with it . I'm waiting till he has the covers , and I'll buy one .
Sammy
Thanks for the info Paul.
I suppose the overall price may be different if including fitting and decal for the centre window. It's a lovely touch and certainly a lot easier on the eye that attaching a digi scan. I must say I'm very tempted to send an Adams off to him for the full works and get my own decal done from GammaRay again. Hmmmmmm! Sorry for messing up the current thread guys.

President Dwight D,this has been modified & has had FM modulation fitted to it then eprommed for 1-40 UKFM as well as doing the 40 on mid band,so a decent 80 channel rig,cost...just £20 as i got it in a deal with a few other bits

Some good dealing there. The mic' on the Stalker is worth more alone than you "paid" for all of it

Yeah . A good buy . I'd probably strip the Dwight D. down and replace the board with one from a 3900 , or something , just to make it a bit more "user" friendly

Does the clock still work ? If not , then there's a few kits you can buy I think to replace it with a counter .

Hi Sammy, nah i am happy with it as it is,it serves its purpose & i have the 360FM here for SSB and other radios too for that, just not justifiable for me to start messing about.
Yep the clock is fully functional & i have re-lubed the plastic gearing for it too.
Regards,Shaun

I bought a 360fm with a really old zetagi counter from our Friends over the channel for £50 inc delivery so we'll see what that's like when it turns up.
Also took a punt on a Galaxy Saturn 2 on ebay - at £70 odd it was worth a bid - again we'll see whats what when it lands

Yey, finally got myself a stealth-fronted Stalker ST-9DX. Been after one for ages but they always went for a lot of money. Got it for £57 and it completes my little 27/81-stamped illegal radio area.
If anyone's got a Stalker mic', especially one with the red wheel on the side they'd let go then let me know.
Annoyingly, I bought one a few years back to vinyl-wrap in oak-effect, just for something to do and then I resold it. It looked pretty good too.

Was your rig in it's box Dave?
I did post this on Flickr sometime ago, don't know if it is of interest.
