help needed with setting up sdr radio.

Can anyone please give me some advice o what i need to buy and how to set up a sdr radio on my computer ???

You can't have too many antennas...

HI CHRIS, that is the question which to buy , i need one for swl and genral ham bands , but with there being so many and so many prices which to buy ? are the cheaper ones any good or would i need to spend big to get anything any good ?

I would avoid RTL based for HF - poor performance.

What are you looking to do with the SDR?

Frequencies / Modes etc?

Sorry, didn't notice Chris's reply, good advice.

The SDRplay devices are very good, I have two here the 1a and the duo. There is a huge difference the two, especially on HF. You often see the 1a coming up for sale on eBay.
