I use the handy wtr browser.
I am looking at buying either the Whistler 1098 or trx2.
When i search under my grid ref on wtr browser it gives me a list of all the users in that area.
Am i correct in saying i could simply transfer that list to the scanner (or i take it sd card) so that the scanner then uses them to search and listen through (just like a normal programmed scanner would?).
also any pros and cons on the two mentioned scanners? would like the aordv1 but out the budget!
Any help appreciated.

Re: Whistler scanners & programming
From WTR Browser you import the list into Whistler's EZscan programming software, define a few parameters and upload to the scanner, the channels are then available for scanning..
The TRX2 does NXDN, the 1098 does not.. There is not that much NXDN use in the UK..

Re: Whistler scanners & programming
I am seeing more NXDN now in the VHF 160-170 region locally to me in Bucks, I don't think they are in Bucks per se and I suspect probably Northamptonshire from what allegedly is said - but I will keep digging.
Found the TRX1 handles these fine as either -C or -D trunking systems or as a conventional channel. But I must say it is nice to have without handing over £££ to Uniden to get it in a digital capable scanner ...

26TM944 - NXDN is used extensively in motorsports for car-to-pit radios and race control etc. Not sure where in Bucks you might be, but I'm guessing you are picking up traffic from Silverstone?

Yes, all appear to be race car/circuit style traffic. The NXDN seems to be simulcast with their CAP+ network according to internet frequencies.
