currentstatus wrote: 28 May 2018, 09:58 I was looking for some supplies and came accross this UK company selling Mitsubishi 2sc1969 and they also have 2sc2312 transistors.
I thought these were no longer available/manufactured? Doesn't mention if they are NOS.

Mitsubishi 2sc1969

Mitsubishi 2sc2312

I sent a message to the seller regarding the authenticity of these transistors. Below is the reply I received. It would appear they're not genuine originals.

It does say "MAKE: Generic" on the above pic, or has that been changed recently?

Thanks man! I have dealt with them before.. they seem pucka.. but the transistor market is a fickle place with all these Chinese offerings. :)

Originally it said Mitsubishi Mr. C. It appears that the seller changed their item description after I messaged them. I've just checked my eBay mailbox and found another message from the seller (below). Chances are they're cheap Chinese copies.

By their replies to my question the seller obviously knows the difference between genuine and fake 1969's. Especially as they know where they can source genuine Mitsubishi 1969's but at three times the cost to the customer.

You'd almost suspect the seller was trying to blag it until they were questioned...

I'm pretty sure I emailed them before about this Andy , although I can't remember what they said . As you say , they're just trying to pull a fast one . Much like 99% of other "original" 1969/2312 sellers .

There are some terrible quality fakes out there, and people still buy them. I suppose the best quality replacements are the Eleflows.

bought a scruffy old untested 148 mk2, turned up not working, gutted i was, had a look inside and that bias board thing had come out of the slots, must of had a knock in transit, put it back in its slots and now working great, beep switch on back and some extra channel configuration on the tone and ch9 switches, so turned out ok in the end, just got to give it a good clean

Nice to see they used the original heat sink hole for the beep

Yeah . The mk2 chassis has the 2 "oblong" shaped heat sink holes on the back . So the guy has used the RHS one for the switch without drilling a hole . Much better that way .

Just paid £25 incl. P&P for a very nice, boxed Signal UK FM mobile radio, same chassis as the little Icoms etc on an a "make offer" listing.
