Could be. But it appears to be on both sides. The 3900EFT also has variable RF power where the echo control is on the 158EDX.

Pretty sure they are the same radio inside. The Ranger one might even fetch slightly more, as people assume that the CRT stuff isn't as good.

But as we know here in reality both are just as bad as each other.

Yes I did,it is long gone thankfully.

I won't be buying another in a hurry unless it is to make a few quid on, as for some reason people pay quite a bit for them.

Got to agree with your comments, I had one a right drifter, i think they look nice, but that's all, can't agree with all Rangers are drifters, I have a Ranger 2995DXCF, 2970N2 and a 2950DX, all have received attention from Dave Wood, don't drift at all, that's my opinion.
