Antenna analysers?

Post by bc73 »

Hi All,

I am thinking of buying an antenna analyser to tune my cobwebb before i put it up, the problem is they all seem mighty expensive.
what would you guys recommend for the best value/quality? As some of the cheaper ones seem very hit and miss from what i have read.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers Colin {bnghd}

Have a look at the MFJ range, used a couple of second-hand ones in the past, good kit imo.

I use the MFJ 259B. Not the newest version but perfectly good for my needs. Picked it up last year 2nd hand.

I've just bought the MFJ223 and I believe there the same .Nice and easy to use and the display is clear .How accurate it is i'm not sure but appears to be good enough for what I need .I did look at the Surecom SA-160 but the thought of getting clobbered with vat and handling and also warranty purposes put me of from ordering abroad .For the money of the Surecom you can't go wrong in my opinion .This is the one that I bought at a half decent price compared to there shop/phone price .
