I would take it back to the Retailer you bought it off, to keep the warranty If I were you.
I'm not ,and I did my own, but sorry I'm not saying how it's done.
I don't think President Electronics will let the general public know for the above reason.

here is what u need to look for... the radio needs a resistor added which would be located where the white export wire was on the previous versions.

Why do that.......the + is the better radio .......all the President Dealers know the mod.

Wrong dealer, he/she was not able to do it, had to send it somewhere and not willing to tell me how to, did not know..

If they cannot/won't do the mod send it back.
Then buy another that has already been opened up, or get a different radio which doesn't require the same amount of messing about.
