Has anyone used the + version on CW yet?
Really like to know if that addressed the issue that all the others had.

My guess maybe, but certainly not sure at all. I've not considered using it at all on mine

Hi, I'm new here but this forum seems to be a good source to solve my problem :-)

Yesterday I got my brand new Lincoln II+ (xmas present to myself)
First impression is ok but but I was a bit disappointed that they have left out the 11m band, I have no plans to use it on that band but I had a plan using 27.555 as a monitor freq. to see if there is some possible activity on 10m, does anyone know if there is a mod for that ?

My second problem is that I'm not able to get the software from President to operate. I assume when connecting the radio to a Windows computer it will appear as a com port but there is nothing in my Device Manager.
I made a quick test and connected it to a linux computer and the dmsg commad show that the radio is connect but does Windows need any special comport driver ?

There is a wire loop inside the radio which you need to cut which then enables 11m

Pretty sure the L2 isnt PC programmable unlike the other radio which share similar internals. (CRE-8900, AT-6666, DR-135UK etc)

I don't think the L2+ has the usual wire to cut but I may be wrong. I have one and I know it was modified by Knights before it left. It was not a wire as far as I understand.

Thanks everyone, there is no wire to cut like I have seen on other Lincoln radios.
I have attached a picture showing

Regarding the programming via PC, there is a programming software for this L2+ and the President site but I'm not able to make the communication work so I have sent a mail asking if there is any special com port driver that is neede.

Might be worth emailing President?

It is probably a case of pressing a couple of buttons as you switch it on.

I'm surprised that the cat hasn't been let out the bag yet on this mod.
