Re: Help with crash
I managed to recover a PC from this devil, reboot in to safe mode and do a system restore to a day or two prior to the infection, run Malware bytes once the restore has finished and you should be good to go.

Re: Help with crash
The virus will be loaded via the registry not the sys config.
Unless you know how to access sys.cfg in repair mode (so you can undo the additional problem you created) you are not going to get anywhere and no amount of advice to remove the virus will repair what you have done yourself.
2E1IIP's advice would have possibly fixed it for you otherwise.

Re: Help with crash
If you can stop it with the Fkeys use F8 just after the boot 'beep' and select safe mode (might take a few attempts)
If you can't get it into safe mode then I can help you no further and you'll need to get Win7 re-installed or get a local PC repair shop on the case.

Re: Help with crash
i can stop it with the fkeys but when i try and boot safe mode it just does the same thing keeps jumping off when its about to load then repeats the same over and over ,so it must be windows itself do you reckon !!

Re: Help with crash
Sorry for delay in responding, I've been rather busy.
Sometimes a boot repair can be done with the win7 recovery/repair disc but you altered the sys.ini file which has changed the whole game.
It would be better & straightforward to do a fresh Win7 install and a lot cheaper due to labour costs (if you're paying someone to do it).
