I just bought a brand new Vertex 16 channel mobile PMR for £99. It's a high quality item with 50 times the power output of the Midland so I don't see how the asking price is in any way justified.

Like all new stuff, it isn't, they're just trying to recoup the design and tooling costs, when they don't sell they'll be £49.99 to get shot, and at that price,.............. I still won't buy one.
