Where to find aluminium rods for radials?
As the title...
Where does one get the rods used for radials? kcb used to sell a loft groundplane kit with 4 1.5m ally radial rods for just £7.95 which would have done the job nicely. But they no longer hold stock.
So, does anyone have any clue where to get them any more? the kit or just the rods (preferably just the rods)
Cheers muchly

B&Q sell aluminium rods and tube stock if you need it today. There's a limited selection though and you'll pay for the privilege.
If you don't need it today, find a supplier online. You usually find some on ebay, but they are expensive. Best bet is to look for a proper supplier with low postage costs for small orders.

Just use wire. Far cheaper.

I have it as a bookmark, its not expensive there & if building a DIY antenna it looks like the place to use.

Most larger towns have a 'Metal Supermarket' where you can get all-sorts, very handy for smaller bits & bobs though.

I found my nearest one as it happens (the link is in this thread The Thread )
But i need to find a new one as they are moving further afield. Either that or create my own stockpile before they go !

+1 Aluminium Warehouse, I don't bother looking anywhere else if I'm constructing antennas. Just a tip if you are building beams, model the design for 1/2" elements instead of 10mm as it's a lot cheaper and is available in longer lengths. For all the fixings these are good quality... https://shop.nuxcom.de/index.php?cPath= ... 95304d2997
my friend grafter, seems like you are using a very offensive tone in the reply.
