Radio is mint inside and totally standard.

Mine is the same inside as this - The serial number has gone from the back of mine but the MB8719 is marked 8011 so does that mean week 11 of 1980? The PCB is labled pc879aa

If you've got one to add then put up as many details as you can and it'll get updated at some point. Clint is a busy man at the moment so it may take a little while.

I've just been looking at serial numbers of Uniden stuff, and it looks like the second digit is the country of manufacture. This isn't just for PB010, but for any radio.

x3 = Taiwan
x5 = Phillipines
x7 = Hong Kong

I think PRC may use x3 too, but I need to look into that.
Any comments?

*edit* I think the first digit of the serial number may be the last digit of the year of manufacture.

03 = Taiwan 1980
13 = Taiwan 1981

83 = Taiwan 1988 (Uniden 2830)

Here's the latest serial number list

Just picked up a Superstar 360 FM mk1 no serial number I am afraid its long gone :cry:

But components have week 6 and week 11 build dates of 1980.

It also has the same bizarre inductors that Nick and Slamjam have :shock:

Clint, it's a Nikon Coolpix 12 megapixels, my son and daughter bought it me for Christmas a couple of years ago.
The photo was taken after I'd cleaned the radio, it was in a filthy condition when I got it and so was the one I repaired for him, I've never seen radios in such a dirty condition on the INSIDE. :o
