Two lancasters

Post by Lumiya »

In august this year the Canadian Lancaster is coming over for a month long visit and is supposed to be doing a few displays with the BBMF Lancaster. No word yet on exact dates/venues but seeing these two aircraft together is going to be one hell of a sight. All we need now is Just Jane to get her CoA

I'll try to post a link once details are released.

If you get just a YES or NO answer it will mean either you should already know the answer or you have proved yourself incapable of understanding the answer. Also if you think I need to explain what I type then perhaps you should realise your own limitations

It should be in the UK on the 8th and then it will be checked over for safety ect i assume this will be done at Coningsby, then it will be doing public flypasts/displays after the 14th and then doing pleasure flights out of Humberside airport (tickets have sold out).

Any more details yet on this one?

Currently sitting with my eighty-odd year old RAF father, discussing the matter :)

He worked on, amongst many other things, the Lincoln that's hangared at Cosford.

The Canadian one is leaving mid September,so the programme of tour events and places may grow. The Canadian one is transiting from Keflavik to Coningsby,so for some folks especially those of us who are aviation fans, hopefully we can get it on it's transit waypoints. I'm hoping it will come via a route over Scottish airspace.
