Have bought old colt excalabur from ebay. works ok fm, am, about 5 watts reports good ssb only about 1 watt , any help to bring radio back up to 10 or 12 watts ssb greatly appreciated. Thanks for viewing post . Phill.

which version is it ??
they made five versions, 40ch, 80ch, 120ch 160ch and 200ch all are different. ;)

if it's the hy-gain V version sounds like the SSB carrier trimmers could do with a tweak, adjusting these usually gets the power back up.
