Hi all,
just got myself a Unident SC230-E after selling all my gear about 5 years ago,as i'm now becoming interested in the hobby again. I'm base around the Teessside/North Yorkshire area and looking for some good frequencies.
Also can anyone recommend a good outdoor base antenna(discreet as poss)
Thanks

For the frequencies, look on here: http://www.transmission1.co.uk/forum/vi ... 0&start=15
decent list of freqs there for the Teesside area
Not sure about the antenna though as I'm just using the antenna on the scanner, so I would be interested to know what's available too.

How discrete do you want it to be? The average man in the street won't have a clue what, for example, an Airwave mast looks like, but once you know what to look for they stick out like a flashing neon sign saying "AIRWAVE MAST"
KEY : = channel/stud | ~ = CTCSS/DCS | ^ = transmitter site | ¯ = overhead | * = trunked

Well you could try a disconnect but hardly low-profile. Personally I'd recommend a white stick antenna - dual or Tri bander such as X50 resonant on 2m & 70cm but will be excellent around air bands as well as marine band, 164mhz and 460mhz etc.
