Re: York scanning
Well, I am keen to see your frequencies if I can please? Sorry I don't really have anything to share back yet.
I dug my scanner out a couple of months ago after no use for many years. Currently listening to York Cameras and pub bouncers, street wardens (or whatever it is), pretty interesting at night though.
Dug out my old hamcom interface and been playing with pocsag again so slowly getting back into the hobby side of radio.

Pop them in here, make it a sticky, so if anyone asks without looking first we can punt them in the right direction if you aren't here.

Re: York scanning
Most taxis in York use MDT's them that do use voice dont have talk thru on, I have taken all taxis freqs out of my scanner as they were boreing lol
I have also moved home and seems to have lost my freq listing, I will search for it and post it here
a good freq to keep you informed of traffic probs is local buses 166.6375 NFM
if any thing happens on the roads buses need diverting etc etc ect so this is a goof freq to have

Re: York scanning
Was at the railway museum today and one of the channels in use was on the PBR band, 449.4000 with the CTCSS tone 98.4. They were using other channel I think, judging by the comments on air, but this was the main control frequency. From talking to security I think they are on a digital encrypted system.
