SkyArrow 250

Post by UGLY_BOB »

Anybody have any info on these ? A schematic would be nice... but I've googled all over and can't find much at all. Tim "Otter" was looking for info a while back too... but nowt.

It works a treat on Mids and High. FM /AM and SSB. The Clarifier is RX only, and limited to SSB mode only.
I don't know if anyone has ever 'opened' the clarifier on one of these, but if you did - any info ?

The only similarity between a Wagner 309 and a SkyArrow 250 is the case and fascia.
*Completely* different inside.

I said already - it isn't.

Most of the interesting stuff inside it is in a big tin filled with wax. LC7131 PLL from memory (yes, really!), the Wagner is a UPD2816 I think. Very different.

I have pictures of the inside of mine at home somewhere. With the can off too. If I rememmber I'll post them. I've been trying to get hold of my m8 who had my Wagner 309 to see if I can get pics of that too.

There was one on eBay the other day going for a crazy price.
Nice radio, but it's only an 80CH multi with no KC shift,
in fact it's less capable than a Stalker 9 FDX.
If I saw one in the box for £70 I'd go for it. Probably.

Yes, but it's small and uncommon.
