I remember watching these when they first aired on Ch4, superbly made and not scared to go into techinical detail on how something works, this how science programmes should be, not the light on fact but heavy on stupid camera effects modern day rubbish.

Great to see these have been uploaded. This was an interesting series, lacking in the usual over-produced, low on content TV gloss, and all the better for it.
As has been said, you simply wouldn't get programmes like this these days, and even if they did make something similar, you know it would be presented by clueless young bimbos/bimboys and be so dumbed down with effects to take into account the audiences low attention span.
Modern day TV is utter sh*te, IMO...
