Other than paying 19€ to get this tiny piece delivered from Germany, any ideas where I can get hold of a DX135/CRE8900 encoder?

Is the original splined or D shaft ? Pretty much any encoder will work, If the pinout is different to the original just run wires from the encoder to the PCB

It's spindle. Sorry that's the correct link but I guess the image they have used is for illustration only.

One of those darn slotted nuts on the encoder, which ordinarily is not issue but this one is so far recessed normal tricks won't do. What tips for this bad boy?
