Spectrum communication piptone Roger bleep wiring?

Post by Raverrst »

Hi all..
Got a spectrum communications piptone bleep board, six wires, comes with fitting inductions but doesn’t tell me how to wire in a separate on/off switch so I can operate the radio with bleep on or off, what one of the wires is best to connect my switch to?

Thanks..

Usually the 12v, or the ground wire.
I did a modern President rig though with a board from Cubwolf and that had to be done with a 2 way switch on the PTT line. One switch position put the PTT through the board and the other switch position bypassed the board.

Right chaps... bleep board fitted all working 100%, fitted a on/off switch on the back panel all working as it should as per fitting instructions from spectrum. Half n hours use on ssb and it's suddenly stopped {bnghd} checked all my work can't find fault!? The rig is still txing and rxing without problem, I can hear the relay on the bleep board working just no bleep being transmitted! Any thoughts anyone as to whats up..

Yes slight delay when dekeying, flick back panel switch to off and no delay
