And does anyone know where I could get a spare clock LED display?
Good question . And to be honest . No . But you can buy almost anything these days from China . The display is listed in the schematic as an "SL-1494-11T" display .

A Google search on that doesn't bring up anything . Also , it could possibly be an issue with clock IC (LM8361D) . I don't have my radio handy , so I can't help much with that . You should be able to get each segment to illuminate without removing it . If the segment lights then it could be a bad solder joint , or the IC . If it doesn't then you'll need to remove it and try and track one down .

Great! The nice, clean Stalker XII arrive today! Complete with smashed gain control & front panel, courtesy of our less than careful courier! Just my luck..
Think we've all had this problem at some point . My Cobra 2000 GTL switch panel got damaged in transport a while back , and it was even double boxed

The radio is going to have a new set of cap's fitted supplied courtesy by a very helpful guy in Canada- I'd really like to give him a mention by name but being new on here, I'm unsure of the rules. He's been very helpful going to be my first point call to supply such parts now.
I admit. It was I that helped Jonathan out. I provided a capacitor kit that will get that radio back in service for the next 30 years. He should be receiving it this week. A radio worthy of the attention. Good luck with the restoration.

Would this problem be linked to the Petrusse Excalibur 2002 problem on another post at the moment as it has similar-sounding issues, but on a different board obviously???
Crusader wrote: ↑28 Dec 2018, 21:11Hi Robin :) , any discount for us TM1 members if we buy them off you outside of ebay rather than you pay the 10% fees on there??
Thanks in advance,Shaun :)
The eBay fee is only around 3% (approx. $1USD) and I used to offer the discount by bypassing eBay and just dealing with PayPal. Whatever I saved I passed on to the buyer as a discount until ... PayPal started screwing around with address label generation and it became to be too much effort in order to save a $1. So, presently I no longer have a way of generating any savings on shipping.

Hi Robin,o.k on that, here in the U.K it is 10% final value fee on Ebay then paypal take about another 4-5% hence why i had to ask, obviously different at your end.
I am thinking or ordering a set off you for my Jackson (PB-042) would it be possible to mark them on the customs label as a "Gift" rather than a Commercial sale & put the value at $15 ? just i bought some capacitors this year from your side of the pond & with the import tax i ended up paying was about a 3rd again in UK customs fee's .

Sorry, I can't oblige. Royal Post already knows me and what I have already shipped. I'm in the GCHQ database and can't sneak anything onto your island.
OK,nevermind,i will ask the guy other in the USA on Ebay who is selling the same kit for the PB-042 Jackson for £2.38 GBP less if he can oblige,if not i will buy one off him anyways as it still works out cheaper.
