I think the only mods you can really do to a Mk1 are a +10KC, bleep switch and possibly a UK40 eprom/pic

They don't expand very well.

its had some mod or mods done but the pic is too low resolution to see what it may be.

the solder side of the board is what matters when you want to know if you bought a shitter, you can't hide pidgeonshit soldering & damaged traces.

2 things I can see straight away that are not standard and both are linked.

On the first pic, bottom middle is a large white resistor. This has yellow and green wires going to it from near the back of the radio. You then have a blue and purple wires running from the resistor to a switch that is between the mic socket and the front of the radio. It appears that the switch is protruding from the screw hole. There appears to be two orange wires coming from the switch to the board just under the switch.

I have no idea what it is for as my knowledge of the MKI is limited but, those two items are not standard that is for certain.

It may be a power increase as if I remember correctly the green and yellow wires are running near to where the output power variable is. This would explain the use of this type of resistor and the reason it is mounted in the chassis in order to help dissipate the heat.

At the same time, I may be way off it may just be a switch to turn off or change the way the bleep sounds or give a + or - 10KC jump.
I will not be commanded, I will not be controlled.
n+1 the formula for working out how many radios you need with n being the current amount.
