My Cobra 148 has a dodgy channel selector so I decided to take it out and strip it down, Ive done this before with success but this one will not play ball. I know the contacts wear down inside over time so I did what I have done before, Take the selector to pieces and clean all the contacts and the round spinney things (Excuse my technical jargon) and then put it back together and refitted it but it's still the same. On channel 14 if you slightly touch the changer it jumps back to channel 12. Driving me nuts now, Any suggestions apart from getting another channel changer which I cant seam to find. And no Im not paying £150 for ten of them like the ones that were on ebay
Cheers dudes...Rich

Re: Skippy Cobra 148 channel selector
Find another selector with the same type "green bits" and swap them over, You only need to swap the very back two as the first "disc" is the channel selector the rest is the channel LED display switching.
Have you checked/replaced the ribbon cable too ?
