Hi Chris..

This radio does not have a PA function; originally it was a Mk2 'stealth' Superstar 360FM...had the cuts in the tracks by the CW socket, and the hole in the mainboard where they mounted the UK board...this was all missing and I've currently wired it to Lo Mid Hi spec...

No idea about transmit audio yet I'm afraid....the output driver and final had been robbed out, I have some replacements but I'm waiting for a couple of the protection diodes to be delivered...

I might put them in anyhow tomorrow and fit some temporary 4148 diodes near them...

Like you say, maybe worth dropping Nick a PM and getting his opinion!

Cheers,
Dan

In his listing they say they want £5 each for the selectors which is actually very reasonable for what they are. I do think selling them as a job lot is a mistake though.

Located in Bradford. I wonder if these are from The Cobraman's estate.
Never, ever, ever....bloody anything ever!

Far too many radio's to list here. But I do own a legal one...

So do I Andy . He should have sold them individually at a £5 a piece . Quantity x30 .

Oh yes, you mean Mark 252?

Spent a lot of time watching his vids, great guy...miss him.

I guess who else would have thirty-odd 148 selectors stashed

The channel selectors can be repaired quite easily . Apart from that I think you'll only get one off a scrap radio .

I'm not sure if the 148 GTL also used the same channel selector . I don't have access to mine at the moment so I can't look . If it does , then you'd probably be better trying to get one of those given your location .

Ate there no 27/81 radios that use the same selector?

Now if only the Fidelity 1000 had one you could reuse for another radio like the DX mentioned, as well as the handy signal meter... ;)

To be honest I'd rather repair my own regardless . A NOS one will probably have been sitting around for decades . Doing it yourself you can clean everything as you go along . I've got it down to a fine art almost . For some reason the old silver GRANT seems to play up more than other Uniden radios . No idea why ... ?
