Re: mic wiring help please
I tried combinations .
So far i can get white noise and no transmit.
White noise and a squeal from internal speaker on transmit.
Or no white noise and a transmit.
Something like that anyway lol

Re: mic wiring help please
Strip a bit more of the outer insulation, and look for the missing red wire
Red is the RX wire, and will be needed for Cybernet
From the solder side of the mic plug, with the notch at the bottom:
Bottom left is TX (white wire)
Top left is RX (red wire)
Top right is Common (screen and black wire together)
Bottom right is Audio (yellow wire)

Re: mic wiring help please
Merci Claude.
The diagram helps me understand better . I can normally repair something if it is there, but because there was no red wire and it is not something i have done before i got a little confused .
Maybe one day i can pass some knowledge to somebody .
I am just warming up the solder iron and more confident now .

Re: mic wiring help please
I think someone has moved wires on the ptt switch from the pcb as things dont relate to the scematic . The + and - from the battery even seem wrong way round . Maybe that does not matter but i will attempt to get it right . I have wired the mic plug as per instruction by ChrisMagpie .
I have removed the wires from the ptt switch
This is what i have .
The shield and black was originally connected to the joint of 2x white (one goes to mic terminal and one goes to mic body. I assume to be a -ve common) and blue from pcb and black from the battery -ve .
The battery +ve originally went to ptt switch.
The others you see originally went to ptt switch

Re: mic wiring help please
Hmmm!
Mine is negative switched. Here's a pic of the amp board: Positive from the battery is an orange wire in mine, and goes straight to the amp board.
Red and green from the amp board go to the mic level control, same as yours. The yellow wire from the amp board goes to the mic element. The blue wire from the amp board goes to the junction of the screen of the mic cable (along with two thin white wires from the mic element and a thin yellow wire from the PTT). The black wire in the mic cable goes to the PTT switch for the TX/RX switching, and does not connect to this junction, in mine.
Here are the pinouts of the PTT on mine: 1. Blank
2. Yellow (audio) wire, from mic cable
3. Audio from mic level control pot (via resistor)
4. Blank
5. Negative from battery (black wire)
6. Thin yellow wire, to junction of mic cable screen
7. Red (RX) wire, from mic cable
8. Black wire from mic cable
9. White (TX) wire, from mic cable
10. Blank
11. Blank
12. Blank

Here's my patented invention, for holding mic plugs whilst soldering:

Re: mic wiring help please
I use one of those tiny vices with a little sucker underneath and an arm that you pull down to get the vacuum. I do the top 2 and then spin the mic plug around to do the other 2. They can be soldered with the plug horizontally on the end of the jaws or vertically on the top. Had it about 30 years from Tandys but it still works.
Not that I've soldered hundreds of plugs mind you
