So LC7137 and LC7136 are pretty much pin compatible and interchangeable but what other of the LC PLLs are?

What about the mid/FCC ones?

I don't *think* they're pin compatible unless you know different?

Hey Sammy,

LC7135 & 7137 are compatible other than the latter only does the first 22 channels
LC7130 & LC7131 are the same chip other than a couple of the logic outputs are flipped as per 7136/7

I remember (too) many years ago playing with a midland 3001 AM set and swapping a 7130 for a 7136. Worked OK on receive but TX wasn't straightforward as the mixing was different; US was IF + ~16.9 MHz whereas UK was 1/2 frequency passed though a doubler, and no way to change that. Gave up in the end.

Don't know much about the LC7120 other than it appeared in (amongst others) early Jaws sets. I thought it was obsolete but apparently it's alive and well in recent EU rigs?

There's some good info on the various PLLs on Buttfuzz' PLL Pinout Page! http://kg4zpn.netai.net/cb/pllpinout.htm

HTH,
Mike
