Cobra UK25LTD power output adjustment??....

Post by curny »

Anyone know what bit to twiddle inside a Cobra UK25LTD ST to lower the power output.
Mines currently doing nearly six watts, but need to lower it to below 4 watts to drive an amp.

Thanks,
Curny

Don't have a schematic but adjust L10, L9 and L8 for RF Output.

Only have the uK29LTD in me scribble pad but may use the same board as the UK25LTD , If so then RV202 is the power adjuster .

Arby the inductors never reduce output as such just detune the frequency trap, only ever adjust these if you either have a bandpass watt meter or a spectrum analyser. For instance you can nearly always get more watts displayed on a watt meter by tweaking these but almost never on the band you want the power on, this leads to interference and also extra heat that can kill and will deteriorate the final transistors over time.
