Co-linear repair

Post by satelitesid »

I shall post in this bit as there doesn't appear to be an amateur repair secion.
I have a 2/6/70 antenna, which seems to have gone very deaf.
I know I have read about caps going cacky, but can't find it at the moment.
Anybody got a link to a site regarding repairs to these antennae?

Thanks for sharing, thats very interesting, I like the way he replaces the bottom capacitors with coax.
Infact I bet I could make one of those. although 64turns of 2.4mm wire would be a bit tricky.
Does the ariel come in 3 pieces and screws together?
I am thinking of a 7m fibreglass fishing pole.
Hmmmm interesting. :)
