I had one a couple of years ago. Receiver ok but TX audio was woeful. Mostly due to the poor microphone. However, it seems to vary quite a bit, more likely just poor QA.

There's a newer version now (8900D) that "might" be better.

I've still got one somewhere - handy little thing - mine was a bit unfiltered on out of band signals. I have a pager on 153MHz near where I live, connecting to an outside antenna produced noises where they really weren't. It was OK mobile - but it is VERY small, and gets VERY hot - so much so, there's a warning label on the hot part of the panel. Doesn't seem to cause any issues, and it's very compact. For the price they're good value.

Just got the new D and can't fault it at all. So surprised when I opened the box and saw the size of it. It does get warm but mine never gets hot hot... It's on its way to the US with me soon.
No issues with the TX audio.
Can't fault it really.
