Short power lead for a FT-857D

Post by nay27uk »

Anyone know where I can get a real short power lead for this YAESU FT-857D no more than 1' 5"?

This flipping thing that came with the radio is far, far to long at about blooming 3 meters.

I don't really want to chop this down just in case I do ever use it mobile but if I have to then I will chop it up.

There's a few on eBay. Genuine ones will set you back £20-£25 but one or two oem ones are advertised.

Just cut this one back to suit. You would need to add fuse holders though!

Or this one with fuse holders. Still a saving

The problem you will have is that most of these, if not all, have the fuse holders at the power supply end so whatever you do, you will need to chop and add/modify the fuse holders.
