I quite like these, there is one on ebay at the moment that might be a bargain two meter band SSB radio for someone.
A forty year old radio is never guaranteed to work.
Mentioning that you are using one on the air increases the chance of a contact as some coffin dodger will bother to reply to complain that in the late 1970's there were enough people on two meters to notice a bit of splatter from them.
What do the rest of you think of the Liner 2?

Wasn't this simply the 10m Liner with a transverter included? Hope I remember this correctly. Not bad but I wouldn't invest much into this old rig. Remember it is not only the look but the parts are getting old as well. For free or a fiver yes. But not more. My opinion!
