New HF under £80 delivered

Post by 36ian »

This might be worth a punt at this price?

Alternatively you could get one from here

I would be very nervous sending £77 of my hard earned to someone in China who set up the eBay account today. Especially as the kit supplier sells them for $399 and this seller has nicked all the pics from their website.

Intriguing. The Chinese are turning out some reasonably competent kit these days for often eye opening low prices. The jokes have worn pretty thin these days. This could be a very interesting proposition.

There's the eBay purchase promise and PayPals own protection, so provided you keep your eye on the calendar there shouldn't be much risk of losing your cash, which is less than a full tank of fuel. Pay on your credit card via PayPal and you're seriously well covered. I wouldn't buy from Radioworld - a 500+% markup is extortionate.

Would you be protected with a paypal payment should there be any problems?

Probably, after a month or so, they want instant payment too.

Everything looks iffy to me so I personally wouldn't go anywhere near it, it screams SCAM to my eyes.

Have to agree with admiral.

Well, all 3 have sold, so I look forward to seeing his feedback go to +3 and 3 lucky people got the bargain of the century.

This is weird one alright... if it is a scam, why only sell 3? With the eBay/PayPal guarantees, surely the whole point is to keep hold of as much money as possible for as long as possible before having it clawed back.

Or am I missing something?

Agree that the price offered is highly highly suspect but don't get this one at all.

Even if they were nicked or fake, surely you'd set the price a bit closer to the going rate, no?

Maybe they really are a genuine brand new seller and simply cocked up on the price when listing...

Who knows?
