They are easy to build from common stuff you might have around already, from above did you watch this you-tube video?

No need to pay good money for something you can build yourself and have fun with.
Copper tubing, odd pieces of coax and wire.some bits of pvc pipe or a wooden stick for that matter.... the hardest thing to find will be the small variable tuning capacitor, you might find that in a old shortwave radio or someones junk box.
It is for fun, and you will be surprised how well it can work
