Morse Code Translator Keyer

Post by StormShadow »

Hi there I just found a pretty neat Morse code device that plugs into your radio transceiver and basically its like a keyboard so for example you'd type the letter E and it will transmit the letter E in Morse. I did not know these even existed but I think these are brilliant for people who want to get into Morse code or do Morse code just by typing on the keyboard. I don't know if anybody else has seen one of these, maybe there are lots of them about? but I certainly haven't seen any about until now. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one of these, they look like great fun.

I tried to upload the picture of it but I'm unable to due to an error

That thing looks about a hundred years old.

There are a zillion computer programs that do that stuff, most for free.

CW Get for decoding and CW Type for encoding are great but as above, nothing beats a good key.

I use one of these.

Nice key andy, All thats missing now is a rant from windy about how outdated CW is, I reckon he'll give us his worn out opinion the minute he spies this thread, Get the popcorn in

Digital maybe more efficient etc etc, But involves high tech equipment, With CW all ya need is a handfull of components and yer on the air :)
