Yaesu FT-7900 Microphone Connector

Post by Trog »

Does anyone know what connectors are used on the Yaesu FT-7900 microphone? It looks like an RJ45 but I would like to know for sure. I know the mike has six wires but I haven't managed to find out any more than that.

It's not an RJ45 - it's an RJ11. And it's not standard RJ11 because they usually only use 4 pins.

I ordered some specially (and fortunately my crimp tool does 6 as well as 4 and 2 pin RJ-11s)
