Faulty 888

Post by Andrew »

I know of a Puxing 888 with a faulty manual tuning button, the radio is a nightmare to manually search and it even wanders off channel when you try to sit it on one particular frequency. Has anyone else had this problem, and more to the point, is there a simple solution to repair it?

Button?

Do you mean the tuning knob on the top, or is there a button I don't remember on the 888?

Can you give a better description please?

Yes, like you describe. If you want to manually go through the channels it keeps skipping some, sometimes it even flickers between two or more. It's damn near impossible to locate a channel unless you punch in the memory number it is in. It's either a quick fix here by someone who knows, or it's off back to where it came from.

Nope, sorry. The rotary switch must be faulty.

I finally after about 4 months got membership into the Yahoo 888 group, and someone suggested the above part, as opposed to sending the radio back overseas.
