Re: Online training?
Not for me, it's just that I see lots of time people coming on and asking about it - why don't we point them to online training.
I tried the Foundation & intermediate tests on hamtests, although I'd get a pass I could probably do with reading the books if I was to be trying to help someone as I'm not genned up on the regs as far as these newer classes are concerned (I dont think I need to as I have a fulll license anyway).

Re: Online training?
It's not the online training, it's not having somewhere to do the practical and take the exam.
Most places that don't do training, don't do the exam either. So you can learn for all the world, but you won't get your ticket.
Most people could pass their foundation with their own knowledge or home training, plus a bit specific to licensing and band plans.

Re: Online training?
That may be but we can still point nooobs to online training to aid them in learning and then they can join their local club if they have one - there are undoubtedly many who do not have a club near them who could benefit from online training - leaving long journeys for the practicals & exams.
