what do you need a licence for ?? your an M6
not many actually follow it any way,
and back to the original thread, never needed to produce one, never been asked about one,
never had a CB licence (only twice in 1988/89) never been asked to produce one.
even recently got pulled as i was on my illegal CB and the reason was 'i thought you were on your mobile phone'
saw the CB and off they went quite happy..
the law also states two way radios are exempt from prosecution as the law only applies to telecommunications devices operating in a cellular bands, which means using an airwave radio is illegal whilst mobile
but of course they can charge you for driving without care an attention..

In 45 years I've never been asked to show my licence to anyone.
And I doubt that a copper would know or care. Despite some bad press, they really do have more important things to do, and really don't give a toss.
And I'm thinking that it's a bit like car tax, insurance, driving licence etc in the 21st century, if they are really bothered then they will punch your details into their 'all knowing' terminal and it will verify you within seconds.
