True. In the 21st Century, 70cms and 23cms are definitely the bands that are going to come under the most pressure from 'business'.
They are, however, a niche interest among hams. I can't see them being taken away entirely, but I can see them being reduced to the widths of the other ham bands.
Quite how you can justify a ham band 85MHz wide in this day and age, I don't know.

not been picky or anything but if you have gone to the trouble of taking the
test and getting a license i would have thought this would have been covered
in said exam.

Re: Foundation licence on 10 meters
Ha! It's the taking all the trouble to get on the internet and post a question to a forum then wait for the responses and still not be certain which response is correct that gets me...
Just look at your licence FFS! If you didn't bother printing it out when you got it, typing three words into Google would have returned the answer from the horses mouth in 0.38 seconds flat.
It's like Yahoo Answers when you get people posting things like "I put a chicken in the oven half an hour ago lol, how long before it is ready lol? Need to know quick lol as I don't want it to burn lol."

Re: Foundation licence on 10 meters
I'm surprised that foundation licence holder's don't ask more question's at the club they have passed the test at,instead of asking on internet radio forum's.

Re: Foundation licence on 10 meters
Some questions should not need to be asked as they are either in the course book or part of the licence.
My club gives us a file for the weekly course notes and it contains the syllabus and a copy of the licence for us to read during the course.
