Re: Anyone doing any courses?
I'm really looking forward to it, shame this one didn't come around sooner but from nothing to a full call in 22 months isn't too bad

I'm starting a foundation course on 27 July, lasts for 6 weeks and only cost a pound a night with a cup of coffee thrown in as well, good value for money.

Re: Anyone doing any courses?
I decided to go for Foundation while on holiday at Easter 2013 (first week April).
I came home and joined Halifax and District ARS, and took the Foundation exam on 11th June (first available exam).
I got my full call yesterday, so from deciding to study to getting full licence was 16 months.

Re: Anyone doing any courses?
Going to look into starting my intermediate licence - I ordered the book the day after I wrote my foundation exam (mid June).
The club is planning to do the course around September but I have a pre-booked holiday which means I could miss the back end of the course (or even the exam).

The safeguarding issues of vulnerable adults.. i work in an around prisons now an have to know the relevant laws regarding Protection Of Vulnerable Adults (POVA)... there was a short lecture on RT procedures an what we can an cant say via an unsecured radio..... I think it was fair to say i knew quite a bit more on radios than the lecturer ever wouldRedDragon wrote:LeakyFeeder wrote:Yup am on with yet another POVA course that it is totally worthless!
