Or for operating abroad, or unattended operation (beacon) or the numerous extra frequencies, or the full 100W most run of the mill radios produce, or personal achievement etc etc ;) :D
or to be a repeater keeper...
Will the next movie in the series be The Fast and The Funeral?

:) well done I hope you got your callsign sorted yesterday
;) I look forward to hearing that you have passed the advanced

:) for me passing the advanced would be about a personal achievement

the only real advantages to me in operating terms would be operating from abroad and supervising at club run events such as JOTA

:) everyone on here knows that low power (qrp) is my thing

Well done on passing.

Does offer other places to "DX" and means you can always pop on 11 and be QRO for a while :-)

Yup, that's me too.

The reason I want to get my full ticket is to do JOTA by October. Also, it would really help with Scouts and Scouting in general. Clearly, it would be also useful for the MM and working abroad.

It is possible to operate abroad with a foundation or intermediate licence. They aren't part of the reciprocal agreement, but some countries will grant permission to operate or a visitor's callsign. Having the morse competancy certificate can also be helpfull.

If you're going abroad write to the regulator of the country you're visiting for advice.

Well done on your Intermediate pass, and good luck with the Full.

For me it was mainly a personal acheivement thing as I had wanted a licence 30-odd years ago but never quite got around to it.

I suppose it means I no longer have to throttle the 100 watt rig back to keep within the conditions, but mostly for me it was to be able to obtain an NoV for 5 megs, although since being granted it I have heard hardly any 5 megs activity. :(
