Hi Richardw - there's a review of the 72 close call scanner in July's Monitoring monthly, and the author seems mightily impressed.
More and more stuff seems to be going digital. I think there is even a proposal to make any new 446 channels digital! But there is still plenty to listen to - shopwatch, pubwatch, cctv control, radio mics, ob talkbeck and more. Don't give up yet!

Hi richard I have just bought a uniden 396t with close call and can say that its a superb bit of kit although it demands a hell of a learning curve.Ken.
