1/ how do I recall the saved prex file preset that was put in the sdrangel instal folder . ie. open up sdrangel then what ?

2/ going frrom memory as again dont know how to get the saved preset back to see all the settings so could you have a quick look at this screenshot and advise acordingly where to edit anything ?

Hi

1. Click Window at menu bar and ensure PRESETS is checked. Then you have an arrow into a box and an arrow out - They are your import/export options.

2. Yes I think. I don't have the windows machine any more. It was a Virtual Machine, sorry but yes looks fine.

Okay with you now I see the boxes at the bottom off the preset box, when I press the import preset box I dont get any option but again I know the required file is in within the sdrangel instal folder where you put it.. any ideas ?

I think it’s a glitch in the software but you have to save a frequency, any frequency first. So click the plus sign in the circle, save any file call it any name and then try importing again. It’ll work then.

Not to bad mate been playing around with the non dmr side off it but leaving it for a few days to give myself a rest from it as in all honesty it was stressing me out !!must admitt it's not the easiest software to navigate really is it !! But it's free and appreciate the work put in by the developer. Will give the dmr side another go in a week or so and see how I get on with it, may get you to do another dmr remote set up if you can be bothered as again never got a chance to screenshot the settings on the night and it was purely from memory I tried but failed to set it up again !!

But again as I say giving myself a rest and you to for now !!

No worries. You could try DSD+ with SDR sharp.
Let me know if you think of anything.

Not a bad bit of software. Bit awkward to get into at first and the controls are bit fiddly to operate being so small, but there's a massive plus...it hardly seems to use any CPU at all in use, compared to anything else I've tried. Also seems to bomb out a bit too.
